great desert hike & tram narrative

This is a great place to hike and see beautiful desert scenery. We just took the main paved road (with baby in tow) for a few miles, but still lots to see. Great desert education

We really appreciated the 45 minute tram ride through Sabino Canyon. The driver pointed our plants, animals and rocks. It was a great way to learn about the desert. Upper canyon damaged

My family and I visited Sabino Canyon on Saturday, November 18th and we were disappointed to learn that the upper canyon received significant damage from flooding and debris flows that occurred on July 31, 2006. Take Grant Rd. east to Tanque Verde Rd., continuing east; at Sabino Canyon Rd., turn north and watch for the sign

Hours

Park daily dawn-dusk. Sabino Canyon tram rides daily 9am-4:30pm; Bear Canyon tram rides daily 9am-4pm (both trams more limited in summer)
