On our visit to Vancouver, British Columbia, we were amazed by the outstandingly creative fiberglass eagles which pepper the downtown area, part of the third installment of public art by the BC Lions Society.
Local artists created these unique masterpieces, and my kids had a great time spotting the next one. If you look closely, you might notice their feet behind the eagles in the photos, they thought it was hysterical to stand behind the birds while I snapped a photo.
The eagles will be on display until April 2010 (well after the Olympics) and then they will be auctioned off to support children’s charities. If you want to be organized about your eagle spotting, pick up the Bald Eagle Flight Path Map at Tourism Vancouver.
