The Houston Zoo is a 55 acre park with over 4,500 animals.
It supports species survival and conservation projects that assist in the survival of threatened wildlife and habitats.
For the most up-to-date daily info, see the Zoo Website.
The Houston Zoo is closed on Christmas Day,
but open and FREE on MLK Day, Columbus Day, President’s Day,
the Friday after Thanksgiving & New Year’s Day.
It’s also a lot of fun.

I am hoping to plan a trip to Houston soon to meet/visit a friend. I have already read up on their site a little and seems like something I would enjoy checking out while I’m there.
I really liked the pictures, I wish I could take pictures like that! Did you take them, if so what type of camera do you use?
