Some people believe that basking in radioactive gas and drinking radioactive water is good for you.
You think I’m kidding?
In Basin, Montana, people regularly flock to the Radon Health Mines to relax and treat chronic illnesses.
Visitors are allowed to sit in the tunnels two to three times a day.
Side niches contain bunks, chairs, books and board games for visitors to wile away their time.
The average visitor is in their 70′s and often Amish or Mennonite, people who prefer “natural” and cheap, non-commercialized healing.
Does the atomic radiation stimulate nerves and help the body heal itself?
I don’t know.
I’m tempted to visit, just once, to check it out.
More than once, and I’d probably come out looking like this…
