I visited Montreal, Quebec, Canada, recently. I was only there for one night which was painful because I know that the city offers so much to see and do. Whether you’re into the arts, restaurants, music, museums or nature, Montreal truly has something for everyone – and that’s not me being cliche and cheesy.
Check out the following things to do in Montreal – we’ve gathered the best of the best!
Huge and beautiful – and you don’t have to be a plant lover to enjoy the gorgeous landscaped grounds!

Montreal Botanical Gardens
Fresh vegetables and food of all sorts – it’s wonderful to walk through even if you’re not there to buy — but it’ll be hard not to once you’re there!

Jean-Talon Market
The oldest Catholic Church in the city, dating from 1656 – gorgeous stained glass. A photographer’s dream come true.

Montreal Notre Dame Basilica
4. Old Montreal (Vieux Montreal)
Incredibly well-preserved old city – you absolutely feel as though you are in Europe. Wanted around centuries-old streets and buildings – you’ll love getting lost!

A large and fantastic museum, and arguable Canada’s best, and definitely one of Canada’s most famous. Enjoy exhibits from multiple time periods.

You can tour the underground crypt and explore the site of Montreal’s original 1642 colony.

Montreal Museum of Archeology
This gorgeous basilica has a copper dome – a photographer’s heaven.

10. Centre d’Histoire de Montreal
This fascinating is located in an old fire hall and it teaches visitors about Montreal’s history from the 1600s to the present.
