Located in the Northwest section of the Fernando Valley, you will find Chatsworth California. Chatsworth shares a skyline with the Santa Susana Mountains. It is also home to California State University, Northridge. This friendly college town welcomes both business and leisure travelers.

When planning your Chatsworth California vacation you will find many dining choices. If you like down home southern cooking, then the Les Sisters Southern Cooking is the place for you to eat. It is a small comfortable place to eat. Keep in mind that everything is made as you order so it does not classify as fast food. In other words, make sure you have plenty of time to wait while they prepare your food. The Catfish and Hushpuppies chased by a glass of iced sweet tea are well worth the wait though. Complete this stop on your Chatsworth California vacation with a big slice of Buttermilk Pie.

If you are planning a Chatsworth California vacation that involves big rocks and climbing, then take a drive up Topanga Canyon Boulevard to Stoney Point for some awesome rock climbing. You will find a lot of great boulders here for working on your climbing skills. People have been climbing here since the 30’s because there are many levels of difficulty here.

The kids will enjoy a stop at Chatsworth Park while on a Chatsworth California vacation. This park is another chance for the family to try rock climbing. You will find boulders here small enough for the little kids, and some big enough for the biggest kids as well. Restrooms are available onsite as well as refreshments by way of machines. This part is in two sections with a small residential area dividing them. The north section is the best are for small kids to climb, the rocks are not as big here. There is a ball field in the north section of the park as well.
