About Escondido
Escondido California is a great walking town. Take a walk through Escondido’s historic home district and look at the some of the lovely old homes that hold much of the history of the north country of San Diego. View Escondido’s public art displays, such as the 1994 Escondido Students’ Tile Mural, which is made of tiles decorated by Escondido students.An Escondido California vacation will be a busy, yet relaxing vacation, with many stops along the way. Escondido has much to see and do. The perfect day trip for the wine lover in the family is a trio to Orfila Vineyard and Winery. This is a great boutique winery in San Pasqual Valley. Here you can walk the vineyards and sample the wines of this lovely valley. The staff is on hand to answer any questions. Call ahead for times and admission arrangements.
Another great highlight on an Escondido California vacation is a day spent at Legoland. A personal favorite of every kid I know, Legoland has rides galore; at least fifty of them. Legoland rides are some of he best around. You can jump in a roadster and drive into 1920 in the Lost Kingdom. You can put on your peg leg and head into Pirate Shores. Be sure and take a tour of the Lego factory, before you leave on a new Escondido California vacation destination. Tickets are available online and it is suggested that you purchase in advance. The ticket lines can be long and you can bypass with prepaid tickets. Also, the park will allow you to upgrade your ticket to a two day ticket if you get there and decide to return a second day. Parking is paid, but save your parking stub, you can return same day for free with a valid parking stub. If you visit Legoland the second day of your Escondido California vacation you will be required to pay parking fee again.
