About Gualala

A Gualala California vacation is a real getaway from it all vacation if you plan things right. In Gualala you will find beautiful countryside; beautiful coastline, and a fantastic valley. What else do you need to make things perfect?

If traveling toward your Gualala California vacation makes you hungry, don’t worry, there are plenty of place to eat once you arrive. One of those places is the Redwood Grill. Here you will find everything you need to make your breakfast perfect; whether it is biscuit and gravy with a ham and cheese omelet or eggs benedict with redwood organic granola mix. The Redwood Grill has great breakfast choices for any diet or personal preference.

If a hike on the beach is part of your Gualala California vacation plans, you will find parking at the trailhead and great trails for walking on the beach. There is a fee for parking, but you can park all day. Recreational Vehicles and vehicles with trailers can not park here though. Be very careful pulling in and out of the parking lot. Traffic is nasty. The park does have a few rules. No fires are allowed and apparently bicycles are restricted to certain areas. Park opening hours vary. You may want to check this first. Pets are only allowed if they are on a short leash, and you must pick up anything they leave behind.

The Point Arena Lighthouse is a must on anyone’s Gualala California vacation list of places to go. This lovely old lighthouse has been standing one hundred fifteen feet tall since 1870. Lighthouse lovers will enjoy this northern coast lighthouse. They offer tours daily and rent the keepers home for vacations. Now, there’s an idea for a great Gualala California vacation. The vacation rentals are available all year. Spend you vacation here and enjoy the views of the coastline and the mountain. Keep this place in line next time someone is planning a wedding. They do that quite well here too.
