About Livermore
Livermore, California is located in the San Francisco Bay area and is a great place to choose as a vacation destination. Along with being able to visit many wineries, there are several golf courses in the area where you can tee off or even take lessons from pros to perfect your technique. It is the home of the world’s longest lasting light bulb. Visit Ravenswood to see a historic home and beautifully landscaped gardens. With so many hotels and restaurants in this city, you will not have any difficulty finding lodgings or a great meal.
Tee off at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course, which is has three 9-hole regulation courses surrounding by breathtaking scenery. Each of the three nines is named for grapes grown in the area. This course has received accolades and awards from several golfing magazines. There is a full service restaurant onsite serving breakfast and lunch everyday and the bar remains open until sundown.
Take in the scenic beauty of the Brushy Peak Regional Preserve where there are also numerous opportunities for hiking, biking, walking and running along the many trails. Here you can also engage in just observing nature and wildlife in the area in their natural habitats. Bird watchers think they are in paradise with the many birds nesting in this area. You can explore the underground world by touring local caves. Swimming lessons are also available as are lifeguard courses, making this a truly educational experience.
