Miles and miles of beaches, sunshine and great temperatures
– these all add up to the best vacation ever when you choose Malibu California as your destination.
However, there is more to this city than just its beaches, even though they are
the main attraction. See the Greek and Roman Antiquities at the J. Paul Getty Museum that was built and
decorated to look like a 1st century Roman villa. Try to time your
vacation to coincide with the Malibu Film Festival, which is an annual
September event.
Gain a spectacular introduction to the world of art when you
visit the Pepperdine
University Center for the Arts. At the Weisman Museum, which does not have
an admission charge, you can see various exhibitions from student and
contemporary artists. This venue is also the site of many different
performances throughout the year. However, you do need tickets to attend these
events.
Explore the many coves of the Robert
H. Meyer Memorial State Beach and delight in the excellent fishing for
which this area is known. You can be completely alone on this beach, which is
secluded, giving you the feeling of being totally alone, yet only minutes from
the city. There is a parking lot on the top of the bluff with steps down over
the cliff leading down to the beach. This is not one of the beaches where you
will see very many children because of the dangers involved in getting to the
beach.
Malibu has numerous types of lodgings designed to meet all budgets.
Whether you want to stick to the tried and true when dining or try something
completely different, the restaurants of the city will satisfy your needs.
