Malibu California is the prefect choice for a romantic vacation where you can stroll hand in hand along miles of beach and stay in a quaint bed and breakfast or a hotel with amenities to die for. Shopping centers offer a shopping experience extraordinaire and since this is where many of the movie stars make their homes, you may easily meet one of them on the street. Not only do you have beaches in this city, but you also have mountains providing you with contrasting sights to see. Learn the history of the city and take in breathtaking views with a visit to the Malibu Lagoon Museum located in the Adamson House.

All of the beaches in Malibu are state beaches and as such are open to the public. If you want a beach where there are not many children, try the El Matador State Beach. There are steps leading down over a cliff to this beach, which is very secluded. You can be alone here because it is not crowded like other beaches in the area and there is a good chance you will have a section of the beach all to yourself. You will not even realize that there is a bustling city only minutes away.

Another hidden beach that is perfect for a romantic vacation is Malibu Lagoon State Beach. Here you can enjoy some saltwater fishing from the pier, visit a marsh area and take in some bird watching. On the weekends there are guided walks of the wetlands, but there are gardens of blooming flowers that you can stroll through at any time.
