Monterey California offers many romantic things to do an restaurants for couples taking time to get away from it all.  From wine tasting in the Carmel Valley to warm chowder on Fisherman’s Warf, Monterey is a perfect destination for the romantic in anyone.  Of course a must-visit for most people is the Monterey Bay Aquarium where you can wander hand in hand through the semi-darkness of the underwater exhibits or steal a kiss on the balcony overlooking the bay that was featured in Star Trek IV.  If you’re looking for something a bit more active, consider renting a kayak and taking a face-to-face tour of the bay and all its beautiful wildlife.  For a romantic evening dining on Fisherman’s Warf provides not only some of the best seafood around but also dramatic vistas from upstairs of the city and bay at night.
