Palm Springs is packed with romantic things to do, especially if you like to explore the beautiful desert terrain. Located all around the resort town is Mount San Jacinto State Park which is home to Idyllwild village, a quaint mountain town famous for the arts culture and camp located there. If you don’t have a fear of heights, take a slow ride up the mountain on the famous Palm Springs Ariel Tramway. At the top of the tramway are several trails and beautiful picnic sites, or a gourmet restaurant with gorgeous views of the desert valley around. For the more active, a hike out to Tahquiz Canyon is one of the most beautiful in the area and the chance to see a real desert oasis is nothing like the movies. If you’ve the upper body strength you might consider a morning at the Uprising Rock Climbing Center followed by a relaxing afternoon at the revive salon day spa.
