Mammoth Lake's dogsledding team offers the rare opportunity not only to meet working sled dogs, but to take dogsled tours of Mammoth and even (on a certain type of tour, and for no small amount of money) to practice driving a team. An advance call is advised before visiting the kennels; reservations are required for both day and overnight trips.
