Lake Lanier Islands

The Lake Lanier Islands Resort is the biggest tourist draw in the Buford area. Situated on Lake Lanier, this resort boasts one mile of shoreline for recreational opportunities plus a stellar beach and water park. The water park here is somewhat renowned - it has the largest wave pool in the state, for instance. There are also two golf course here, the largest harbor on the lake, an equestrian center, and spa. The resort regularly has a nighttime "Magical Nights of Lights Display," which is the largest animated light show in the world.
