Played 6/2 as part of weekend "Stay and Play" package at La Quinta. The course winds through resort homes and has enough pot bunkers and railroad ties to remind you who designed the course. Challenging, but not as difficult as the marshal claimed. (he said it was rated like top 10 in difficulty). Loved the tall bunkers! Don't see too many of those where I live. Played both the Nicklaus Tournament course and the TPC Stadium courses 7/28-29, 2001. The condition of these two courses was the worst I'd ever seen, the greens were decent, but not what you would expect from a highly acclaimed resort. The staff was friendly (no complaints there) ...
