I played here about two years ago on the way to San Diego. I was impressed with the design, which someone obviously spent a lot of time thinking about. This was a very nice course. Every hole was a challenge and had a great view from the tees. The key here was the tee shot. It doesn't play too long, but it definitely punishes for poor tee-balls.
