An outstanding experience!

My husband and I took another couple to the Makaha for their first trip to Oahu. We chose the resort because of the very pleasant time we had there on our first trip to the island years ago, when the Sheraton chain owned the resort. We hoped it would be an equally great experience for our friends, and we were in no way disappointed! The Makaha is off the beaten path, to be sure. If you like the high-rise, traffic-laden, crowded beach atmosphere of Waikiki, the Makaha is not for you. But if you want to enjoy the tranquility and lushness of a secluded resort, especially if you're on a budget, this is definitely the place to stay. A rental car will take you anywhere on the ...
