Wilds Golf Course - What a gem

At first, we were a bit apprehensive of playing at The Wilds given the green fees and the $1.50 CDN exchange rate. But after having played 18 holes, this course is well worth the money. This could have been an exceptional course, and at one time it was. Know you are treated to the results of greed overtaking golf, which is most noticeable on 13 and 14, among the ugliest courses in golf, thanks to the breathtaking vista of 120 virtually identical beige tract homes lining the fair... During our summer stay in MN we played the Wilds, and had a great time, with a few problems. Roads approaching the course are under construction, making getting there a little difficult. The old saying "you get what you pay for" certainly holds true at The Wilds. I was fortunate enough to play this course during a visit to the Twin Cities, and I was not disappointed.
