A piece of heaven!!

We just returned from a weekend at High Hampton, staying in the Honeymoon Cottage on Jewel Lake at the 18th hole of the golf course. We absolutely LOVED it and feel as though we have found a piece of heaven here on earth. The cottage is made from logs and we understand it was an old grist mill. It has the paddle wheel on the side of the cottage. It has a bedroom with a high four-poster queen bed (nice linens), a dresser, table/chair and nightstand. The living room has cathedral ceilings a sofa, two comfy chairs, coffee table and several side pieces, along with a wonderful stone fireplace as a focal point. The cottage is decorated ... Very Relaxing...don't go when there is a wedding

My husband and I stayed at High Hampton in early June for three nights with the rest of my family for a family retreat. It was the perfect place for a family to come together and catch up. There was something for everyone from people watching on the front porch, to hiking, fishing, tennis and golf, etc... Just like a lot of people have said, it is like camp, rustic, but high end camp. There are no TVs and no phone is the rooms and for the most part no cell phone coverage. Which really encouraged us to take advantage of all that High Hampton and the area has to offer.
