beautiful night sky but a little disapointing

We called in advance and were told that they were doing the night time viewing from 6-10 pm. My sister in law wanted to take her boys up to see so we packed everyone in the car and made the 2 hour drive up from Kona. Starry, starry night!!

While visiting the Big Island last week we decided that a trip up Mauna Kea was an absolute must see for our boys, 8 and 5. We were not disappointed!
