Kapaa Hawaii has so many attractions for a family vacation that you will really have to draw up a schedule if you want to visit them all. This small town, on the island of Kauai, is only about 20 miles north of Lipue has several open and quiet beaches that offer swimming opportunities for the whole family.
Take the Steelgrass Chocolate Farm Tour where the children will delight in learning about where chocolate comes from and get to visit a real music recording studio. This town has many hotels for your lodgings, restaurants where you can enjoy the island and international cuisine, as well as shopping locations where you can buy different kinds of souvenirs.
A visit to the Kauai Children’s Discovery Museum will probably head your list of things to do. The hands on exhibits will keep them busy for a full day and they will surely want to return for another visit before going home. There is something here for every age group, even a play space with age-appropriate toys and games for pre-school children.
Located within the Wailua Marina State Park, you can stroll through the blooming gardens of Smith’s Tropical Paradise. You can also have a family picnic in this beautiful setting or stick around for the famous luau. There is over a mile of winding pathways that will let you walk as a family and get to enjoy some of the beautiful scenery.
Of course, you do have to spend time playing on the beach, swimming in the warm waters and building sand castles。 You can explore the best the island has to offer, and unwind at the end of each day in your beach front rental.
