Maui can be a very accessible vacation destination if you know where to look. Check out wheelchair-friendly hotels, transportation and activities in Hawaii with Access Travel.

Boredom will not be a word in your vocabulary when you choose Lahaina, Hawaii for your next vacation.  You will, of course, want to spend time on Kaanapali Beach and engage in the numerous water-related activities, but there is so much more to see and do.  Restaurants and hotels are all within easy walking distance of each other and the beach.

Take a sailing cruise on a catamaran and journey to the neighboring island of Lanai and spend hours sunning on deck or seeing the underwater world when snorkeling. Learn how to surf at the Goofy Foot Surf School or perfect your techniques.

Banyan Tree Park is the perfect location to rest and just watch the people go by. The tree is one of the largest in the world and was imported to Lahaina in the late 18th century from India. The tree stretches over n area of 200 feet and shades almost two-thirds of the park. Visitors are not permitted to climb the tree or sit on its branches. There are many benches around the outskirts of the park and at various times of the year, you can take in native and craft demonstrations.

Experience the Chinese culture in Hawaii when you visit the Wo Hing Temple Museum. When you enter, the first thing you will see is the Dancing Lion of Taipei, a ceremonial lion. Since the Chinese people in Hawaii predate the whalers and the missionaries, there are centuries of history for you to explore in the artifacts of this museum.
