- Collections:
- The scope of the museum collection includes the artifacts of Polk County and Central Florida history and culture from pre-contact to the present. Objects acquired by the museum represent material culture in Polk County and Central Florida. The collection includes documentation of individuals and cultural groups as well as objects that illustrate events and the history of the arts and crafts in Polk County and Central Florida. The museum is the repository of the 116th Field Artillery Unit's collection. The 116th is Polk County's National Guard unit. Exhibition of this collection will be part of the "Military History of Polk County" exhibit to be located on the second floor.
