- The Museum's collections are representative of the natural history and biological diversity of the upper Midwest, in particular the western and upper Great Lakes region. In-house collections include taxidermic mounts of birds and mammals; preserved, dried and taxidermied fish, reptiles and amphibians; animal skulls and skins; mounted and preserved insects; a herbarium featuring vascular plants, seeds, mosses, liverworts and lichens; rocks and minerals, plaster casts of animal tracks; bird nests; and more.
