In November we stayed at the Hotel Tornabouni Beacci (wonderful hotel) very near Ponte Vecchio-a bridge with many personalitities-depending on time of day one is there-we particularly enjoyed it on weekend mornings when the river reflections were so colorful-there is in the middle of the ponte a statue to which is attached numerous locks-we never learned why? more on Yahoo! The night was clear, and there was a man there playing a guitar and singing, it was great to see it so calm and empty, and it really lets you appreciate the structure, and not the shops. more on Yahoo! Travel
