My husband and I enjoyed the van tour with 10 other people. Although the only place we were allowed to leave the van was at the horse cemetery, we stopped often to observe the horses, main house, and barns. Beautiful

A must-see for fans

This is not a great place to visit if you want an insider's look at the modern horse business. You will not get to see much of the behind-the-scenes stuff and it is a little too slow-paced for younger kids. A Bit of Horse Racing History

Calumet Farm is indeed a little piece of horse racing history within itself. I did a bus tour through the farms of Central Kentucky and Calumet was one of the best.
