The Aqua Fria National Monument is located approximately 40 miles north of Phoenix. Diverse vegetation and topographical features are located on a dormant volcano 4,600 feet above sea level. Hiking trails, cultural sites, and four-wheel drive trails (four-wheel driving is not allowed off trail) are just a few of the many activities that can be enjoyed at this scenic venue.
