  • Bamboo Giant is one of the largest plantings of timber bamboo growing in North America that is open to the public. It is a rare treat to be able to walk through groves of bamboo. Bamboo Giant has over 60 species of bamboo growing in a natural setting spread over 30 acres. The species are identified with informative plaques. The garden is open daily and features paths, picnic areas and ponds. With only one native bamboo species (Arundinaria gigantea—commonly referred to as cane break) found in the United States, bamboo is new to our culture in America.
