Great Geology Lesson

Just returned from a trip to Mammoth Lakes and the Devils Postpile. I'd highly recommend the 11 AM ranger tour as they explain in detail the history of the Postpile. A Full Day's Activity

I've never been to the Devil's Postpile and wasn't sure what to expect. I was expecting to drive to a trailhead, hike in 1/2 mile or so, see the rocks and then head on to the next site.
