Dubbed America’s most crooked street, Lombard Street doesn’t disappoint. This one block stretch of Lombard between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets has eight hairpin turns that become one of the most photographed streets in the world. The steepness of the grade (27%), necessitates the use of the turns, or switchbacks as they are called.
