Mission San Juan Capistrano, Orange County’s only Mission, was founded in 1776, and features exhibits and tours of which explain its long and rich history. The Mission also features self-guided audio tours for those who want a more subdued, personal experience. This Mission is also famous for its Swallows, which return every year on the same day.

Even so, I couldn't help feeling a bit dirty paying the $6.00 required admission (other missions work on donations) only to stand around with a couple hundred other people. more on Yahoo! Travel
