The official residence of Hawaii's monarchy, Iolani Palace is a mixture of grandeur and historical significance. Built by King Kalakaua in 1882, this opulent shrine of sorts displays Hawaii's royal heritage in all of its glory. Today, visitors can take walking tours of living restorations from this time period and enjoy the marvels of this Polynesian palace.
