Excellent place for a walk

Wife and I stop here on our travels through the southwest. This is a great place for walk to see all of the petroglyphs. Not just a couple of petroglyphs but lots and lots of them. Amazing Landscape

I thought the petroglyphs would be the main attraction, but I was even more impressed with the landscape. I could see why the black rock 'cliffs' along the flat of the Rio Grande with five volcanoes as a backdrop have drawn people for generations. There were a lot of petroglyphs to see along the ... Directions

Petroglyph National Monument is located on the North West side of Albuquerque, New Mexico. To get to the visitor center you should take I40 east or west depending on the direction you are traveling. Leave the interstate at Exit 154 traveling north on Uns

3 miles north of I-40 at Unser and Western Trail

Open All Year 8:00am to 5:00pm.
