Second only to the Statue of Liberty as an indelible icon of America, The Liberty Bell has the biggest tourist draw in the Philadelphia area, thanks in part to the movie National Treasure. The bell was cast in London in 1752, and was cracked the first time it was rung upon arrival in Philadelphia. The bell is located in Independence National Historical Park.

A glass and marble environment (cold) for such national treasure set into a modern building with a security check in that looked like a temporary out house (those are the words of the Park Ranger that gave us directions), no music or overhead historical mode setting acoustics, just go see it and get out of here attitude. more on Yahoo!
