Awesome view and snow inMay

We visited Cedar Breaks in the middle of May, 2006. I had researched our Utah adventure enough to know that the trails at Cedar Breaks are only along the rim, unlike Bryce which we had already visited. (Bryce is another must do if you're in the area!) Stunning overlook from the road

We didn't plan to visit Cedar Breaks on our trip to Southern Utah this April as we had been told that the highway 148 is closed in Winter due to heavy snow and you can't get to it other than by snowmobile. Directions

Visitors traveling south on I-15, exit at Parowan, then take Utah Highway 143 east, to Cedar Breaks National Monument. Visitors traveling north on I-15, exit at Cedar City, then take Utah Highway 14 east for 18 miles, then Utah Highway 148 north for 4 mil

From early June to mid-October, the visitor center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..
