Home of Charles Washington, the youngest brother of George Washington, this beautiful house has been carefully maintained over the years. A 6,000 square foot mansion situated on over 12 acres of land, Happy Retreat was, until recently, privately owned. Now tours are held once a year, and it's in the process of becoming a center for history and culture for Charles Town and Jefferson County.
