A functional replica of the original Mayflower, the Mayflower II was built in Devon, England in 1957 as a symbol of unity between British and Americans. The ship copies the original Mayflower in every detail, and most visitors are struck by how small the vessel is. Role players in period costume are on board to further enhance the realism.
