Not The Enchanting, Gothic House You'd Expect

I drove from Boston to Yarmouth Port on a crisp, grey, Saturday last November. It was a perfect day for visiting the Gorey House. Based on Gorey's books, plays and illustrations, I had pictured his home as a Gothic mansion filled with Victorian furniture and dark wallpaper. A definite must if you are a devoted Gorey fan

I visit the "Elephant House" every time I go to Cape Cod, time permitting. The gothic side of Edward Gorey is just one component of his complex personality, and I believe that any true fan would be fascinated by the multifaceted aspects of his life.
