Founded in the '70s as the UC Davis Raptor Center, this excellent facility takes in and rehabilitates about 200 birds of prey each year. The majority of these are released to the wild, but the public is welcome to view the Center's nonreleasable permanent occupants from Monday to Saturday. Visitors may see hawks, eagles, vultures, and owls. The Raptor Center also holds occasional events and demonstrations. Parking is free.
