Rancho los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens is on the National Register of Historic Sites, and includes an adobe ranch house built in 1800, five acres of historic gardens, and an historic barnyard area which is due to re-open in 2012 after extensive restoration. The ranch showcases the Native American, Spanish, Mexican, and American cultures that have inhabited it over the centuries.

Their descendants gave the house, gardens and six barns to the City of Long Beach to maintain and develop as a regional historic and educational facility. more on TripAdvisor
