I really loved the setting for this building; beautiful location overlooking the Bay and ocean. And set in the Presidio, so the landscaping is really nice.

It's amazing how many visitors choose SFMOMA over the Legion, just because the former is downtown. Unless you really love making sense of very abstract, contemporary art -- skip SFMOMA and make the extra effort to come here instead!more on Yahoo! Travel

Like most SF museums, the Palace of the Legion of Honor is over-hyped (although thankfully, it is not as over-hyped as the SFMOMA). It has a decent collection, but it really falls far short of my hometown Art Institute of Chicago. ... more on Yahoo! Travel
