For an authentic sense of Ukiah's local history, pay a visit to the Grace Hudson Museum. Collections are mainly the work of Grace Hudson, who focused on sensitively treated portraits of the Pomo people, Mendocino County's native inhabitants. There is also a collection of Pomo craftworks and a more complete ethnography at the museum, which was completed by Hudson's husband John.
