Don't expect much
The cliff dwellings were small - like three little houses. You can tour them but it doesn't take long to go in three little houses. Expect to get your knees dirty from the clay if you do any climbing - they let you climb in the windows and up a ladder. They have a huge gift shop but it's packed f... A great place to visit!
We visited the Cliff Dwellings in early October. The place has a great history behind the original dwellings. We took a self-guided tour. Plan on about 1-2 hours if you plan on visiting the museum and gift shop also. Be prepared for some climbing to enjoy all of the dwellings. Make sure you also ... Tourist trap
The Manitou Cliff Dwellings represent the cliff dwellings of the Anasazi, or the ancestral puebloans from the Four Corners region. These peoples never lived anywhere near the Colorado Springs area. Praise for a museum geek...
After initially dismissing it as a tourist trap, I relented after getting horribly lost & turning around in their entrance for the 4th time.
