The Butterfly Pavilion offers a unique and compelling hands-on experience with butterflies and insects of all kinds. The tropical conservatory has 1200 different types of butterflies from rainforests all over the world, and the insect zoo gives you a chance to hold various critters that might normally make you squeamish. Reconstructed tide pools offer visitors the chance to see and touch sea cucumbers, star fish and more. Outside of the facility is a 1/2 acre nature loop, where you can spy prairie dogs and rabbits and you take a walk. Hours are 9am to 5pm daily, and admission fees are $8.50 for adults and $5.50 for children.
