Connecting more than a dozen of Boston's most significant historical sites, the Freedom Trail is perhaps one of the best ways to learn about the pivotal role that Beantown has played in American history. It covers approximately 2.5 miles from the Boston Common to the Bunker Hill Monument, and there are just as many costumed tour guides as there are self-guided brochures to help keep travelers informed along the way.
