Nice, But Not Worth the Admission

The Mount is interesting, because of who the owner was, but when we saw it last year more than half of it was still unrenovated, yet we were charged (I believe) about $16 admission. We loved this mansion!

You would love this place especially if you like Edith Wharton and/or are interested in the time called gilded age. It was fascinating to feel the space she once lived and the atmosphere of the time. Restored Splendor

We visited the Mount and took the tour through the house and gardens. We were so excited to see that the mansion is being taken care of. The rooms were amazing and the knowledge of the Docent was superb. This is really not a place for kids despite seeing a few. There is a lovely cafe connected to...
