Closed in 2008, the National Plastics Center and Museum was a reflection of Leominster's pride as the plastic capital of Massachusetts. Visitors could see displays of plastic lawn flamingos, invented and manufactured in Leominster, and tour the Plastic's Hall of Fame. While this facility was open, it was an educational way to discovery the many uses of plastic and the benefits of recycling.
