a playground like no other

In 1955, this building and its grounds held a special place in a 5 year olds' imagination. The terraced hills, a clock that tolled every half hour, and a vista of incredible impact. Okay -This is Mississippi

If you are a fan of the Confederacy in the Civil War - this is the place for you. If you are not, I would not suggest you go here. I personally found it distasteful, especially when I saw the "mammy" dolls, pickininny dolls, and the book "little black sambo" being sold in the gift shop. The on... Awesome collections and historical exhibits. Very enjoyable self guided tour - excellent presentation of many Civil War and antique items! A really awesome Court Room upstairs! Beautiful grounds around building!
