Four museums in one - something for everyone
This is an excellent all-volunteer musuem complex; be sure to allow several hours to walk through the extensive exhibits. You enter the complex through the gift shop which has a good selection of books on geology and Montana history. At the gift shop you will receive a newspaper that includes a m... Mining Museum small
The world museum of mining allows you to get up close to some mining artifacts, and mine History. It is what it is: a small out of the way place without any wiz bang factors. Do not expect too much.

From the center of Butte, take Park St. west to the Montana Tech Campus. Continue on Park through the campus and make a left at Museum Way

Apr-Oct daily 9am-5:30pm, last ticket sold at 4:30pm
